WHO WE ARE

We are the Education Team of Cork Nature Network.

We are a Team of volunteers with expertise in the areas of teaching and Irish wildlife . 

WHAT WE DO

Cork Nature Network have run education programmes since 2015.
 
With the event of Covid19 our schools programmes have gone on line.
 
By utilizing the vast knowledge of our Team and the volunteers of Cork Nature Network, we strive to create high quality  educational packs and resources for use in the school environment.

WHY WE DO THIS

Education is one of our core activities.  Cork Nature Network believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy of wildlife and wild places.  

By ensuring that children  have access to the natural world, their mental and physical wellbeing, can be improved. By increasing  awareness and education, we can help to safeguard the environment for the future. By experiencing the natural world, people are far more likely to take better care of it. If we don’t take the opportunity to ensure that the next generation (and the current generations) nurture a connection to wildlife, and encourage current generations to lessen their impact on our natural world, nothing will change. Wildlife will continue to suffer, and the natural world will continue to be degraded.
